Waleed Al-Washahi is an Omani renewable-energy engineer specialising in utility-scale wind and hybrid power systems. Since 2019 he has supported in driving Petroleum Development Oman’s transition strategy, leading design, financing, and execution of the Riyah II 100 MW wind farm. I have over eight years of experience in the power system, with a vast experience stretching from gas-turbine operations to renewable energy project management. Holding an MSc in Electrical Energy Systems from Cardiff University and PMP certification, I aspire to the a future to support the realization of Oman’s Net-Zero 2050 ambitions through collaboration with all stakeholders.
