Advisor, OQAE

Siddiqa Al Lawati is an Advisor for Business Development at OQ Alternative Energy. She holds an MSc in Advanced Chemical Engineering from Imperial College London. Upon graduation, Siddiqa joined General Electric’s (GE) Graduate Engineering Training Program to be the first female to join an engineering leadership program at GE Water and Process Technologies. Despite having experience in the oil and gas sector, her passion for preserving the environment of Oman led her to joining the Alternative Energy Industry around 8 years ago to lead project development of multiple mega scale projects in renewable power, green hydrogen and energy efficiency. Outside of work, Siddiqa enjoys volunteering in areas related to sustainability, particularly climate change and the environment as well as empowering the startups’ ecosystem. This is reflected in her participation in the Global Shapers Network, a youth network of the World Economic Forum. Siddiqa is also an alumni board member at The Royal Academy of Management.
Join us for an engaging workshop on Smart Grid Technologies: Advancements in Microgrid Control, Grid Security, and Electrification, where experts will discuss the latest innovations shaping the energy sector.
