Dr. Abdullah Sulaiman Al-Abri is the Vice President for Sustainability at SOHAR Port and Freezone, where he leads strategies that align Oman’s energy transition with economic growth and industrial competitiveness. A former international consultant with the IEA and OECD, he has advised on policy and investment frameworks that shaped Oman’s hydrogen economy and broader transition agenda. At SOHAR, Dr. Abdullah is driving the development of international trade corridors for clean hydrogen and new energies, unlocking opportunities that strengthen Oman’s position in regional and global markets. Holding a Ph.D. in Reservoir Engineering from Curtin University of Technology, he brings a unique blend of technical expertise, policy insight, and strategic vision to energy transition dialogues, with a focus on delivering tangible economic impact
