Haitham Saif AL Omairi serves as a Senior Manager - Business Development at SOHAR Port and Freezone, one of the fastest growing port and freezone in the world. Leading and driving the commercial strategy of business development unit. Overseeing the business development team and strengthening Sohar port and freezone business relationships with potential investors and partners, attracting international investments and further positioning Sohar port and freezone as a competitive and dynamic industrial and logistics hub. Since joining SOHAR in 2016, Haitham has been instrumental in forging strategic partnerships, aligning commercial strategies, and driving the Port's and Freezone’s growth trajectory. His academic foundation is robust, anchored by a Bachelor of Business in Operation Management from Sultan Qaboos University. Further honing his expertise, Haitham pursued a Master in Shipping and Transport with a specialization in Port Management and Design from Netherlands & South Korea and recently a postgraduate master student in Hydrogen Economy and Technology from German University of Technology in Oman. His commitment to leadership and strategic thinking was further solidified through his participation in the National Leadership program at the Royal Academy of Management. Haitham's journey is marked by progressive roles and significant contributions, as a Marketing Executive at ASYAD Drydock back 2012, he showed his prowess in market development and client relationship management. However, it was at Sohar Industrial Port Company (SIPC) where Haitham's impact became profoundly evident. He consistently demonstrated his ability to lead commercial strategies, develop relationships with key stakeholders, and ensure alignment with the company’s overarching objectives. A cornerstone of Haitham's leadership is his unwavering commitment to sustainable practices. As an active member of the Sohar Port and Freezone Energy Transition project, he champions alternative energy solutions, with a keen focus on carbon capture, green hydrogen production, and the establishment of solar modules ecosystem within Sohar Freezone. This dedication not only aligns with the port's and Freezone’s sustainability vision but also positions them at the forefront of the global economic zones shift towards a cleaner energy future.
